Long ago. In a galaxy far away… so it seems by now at least, the Droid Behaviour crew around my friend and @DJsandBeers co-host Drumcell organised an amazing CLR showcase party in LA, on the 21st of July 2012 to be exact. Drumcell, Truncate (back then as “Audio Injection) and our friend Dean Paul were playing alongside myself in that incredible night (see pics in the post). Today you get the third and last hour of my set. Even DJ Hyperactive was dancing 🙂 Legends all around. The Droid crew are famous for their Interface parties, all amazing productions and locations, sometimes legal and sometimes illegal. Actually the first event I played for them was back in 2009 and I remember when Moe aka Drumcell (who I met that night for the first time in person) told me proudly that none of their illegal warehouse parties did ever get busted.. well guess what happened at that night in 2009, haha. It was a start of a long lasting friendship and collaboration and I was super happy that they were willing to also throw a CLR showcase party in 2012 in LA. If you know me, you know the love I have for that city and all my friends living there. Btw, in 2013, Drumcell released his outstanding and timeless album “Sleep Complex” on CLR. I highly recommend checking this out, as it is still as fresh and valid today, as it was on its day of release. And another btw, this year will be the re-launch of CLR, which went into hibernation for some years while I was working on my albums for Mute Records, “Burn Slow”, released in 2018 and the next one, which will also be out this year.
